How does the pad printer work?
Methods of applying ink on etched plates (steel plates): There are many methods of applying ink on etched plates.
The ink is first sprayed onto the etched plate, and the excess ink is scraped off with a retractable scraper. At this time, the solvent left in the ink in the etched area volatilizes and forms a gel-like surface, and then the glue head descends to the etching plate to absorb the ink.
Ink absorbing and printing products: The rubber head absorbs most of the ink on the etched plate and then rises. At this time, this layer of ink volatilizes a part, and the remaining part of the wet ink surface is more conducive to the close combination of the printed object and the rubber head. The plastic head is shaped to produce a rolling action to remove excess air from the etched plate and ink surface.
In the production process, the most ideal situation for the cooperation of the ink and the rubber head is that all the ink on the etching plate is transferred to the printed object. On the substrate) rubber head printing is easily affected by air, temperature, static electricity, etc. If the volatilization rate and the dissolution rate are controlled in a balanced state during the whole process from the etching plate to the transfer rubber head to the substrate, then the printing is successful. If the evaporation is too fast, the ink will dry before being absorbed. If the evaporation is too slow, the ink surface has not yet formed a gel, and it is not easy for the glue head and the substrate to adhere.
